Craig Dong / Keyboards /Guitars /Vocals /Songwriter

 Craig has been playing piano since age 7 and played his first paying  gig at the age of 10! Weened on the Victoria rock scene in the early 80’s ( Agent, Rockestra) where he “toured till he dropped” playing in every city in Alberta and BC  with a population of less than 50,000 people.  He moved to Vancouver in 1984 and attended the prestigious Jazz program at Capilano College where he honed his chops and immersed himself in the burgeoning Indie scene with bands such as The Rainwalkers, Freedom Press and Welkin .  He has appeared on recordings by artists Warjunk, Tami Weis and Welkin.  

Early influences included Elton John, Yes , Beatles , Metheny/ Mays . Current influences include, Booker T , Gram Parsons , Professor Longhair, Floyd Cramer and Dwight Schrute.

His current rig includes a keyboard with 88 keys and one with 76 keys and lots of fiddly knobs. He also plays guitar whenever the band lets him.

Craig also composes his own music which has been featured on programs produced for the Knowledge Network. In addition to the Concrete Cowboys/Pop Junkies he also plays and tours with Corey Hawthorne & The Loners and the Cold Cold Hearts.
